DressLily online fashion shopping app
Techcelerant built the DressLily fashion app with flash deals, trend collections, reviews, chat support tickets, Share & Earn and online checkout.
First published

DressLily is an online fashion store selling affordable clothing and accessories for women, men and plus-size shoppers. Techcelerant designed and built its shopping app for iOS and Android. The app brings flash deals, trend collections, reviews, a chat ticket system for support, a Share & Earn referral program and a full online checkout into one place.
The client
DressLily's catalog is large and changes constantly. New arrivals land often, and the store runs a steady calendar of sales: flash deals, party dress promotions and holiday collections. Its customers are price-aware and trend-driven. They want to see what's new, what's discounted right now, and what other buyers thought of an item before they order.
The problem
The store's promotions are time-sensitive, and a mobile website couldn't convey that urgency well. Shoppers also needed a reliable way to contact support about orders, sizes and returns, and support requests coming in through email were hard to track. The client's team wanted to turn happy customers into a source of new ones, too.
We set out to:
- Show limited-time deals so shoppers can see how long each one lasts.
- Group products by trend and season as well as by category.
- Give customers a support channel inside the app with a clear history.
- Add reviews and a referral program to build trust and reach.
What we built
The home screen is a stack of offers and collections:
- A search bar at the top with a notification bell, so shoppers can look up items or check alerts about orders and deals.
- Category tabs for All, Women, Plus Size, Men and Accessories.
- A flash deal row with a live countdown timer in days, hours, minutes and seconds, and product cards that show the sale price above the struck-through regular price.
- A "Shop by Trends" section with banners for new arrivals, party dress flash sales and seasonal collections such as Christmas.
- Product pages with customer reviews.
- A chat ticket system, where each support conversation becomes a ticket the customer can follow until it's resolved.
- Browsing history and a wishlist, so shoppers can find items again.
- Share & Earn, which lets customers share products with friends and earn rewards when they buy.
- A cart and online checkout.
A bottom bar with Home, Category, New, Bag and Account keeps the main areas one tap away.
Design decisions
DressLily's banners are colorful and busy by nature, so we kept the frame around them plain. A white background, thin tabs and simple icons in the bottom bar let the promotions carry the energy without the whole screen feeling crowded.
The countdown timer sits right above the flash deal products, in small dark boxes that are easy to read. It answers the question every bargain shopper has: how long do I have?
We showed both the sale price and the regular price on every deal card. Shoppers can see the discount at a glance without opening the product.
"New" got its own tab in the bottom bar. DressLily adds stock so often that new arrivals deserved a permanent spot, separate from the general category browser.
For support, a ticket system made more sense than open chat. Each issue gets its own thread with a status, so customers and the client's support team both know what's still open.
The result
DressLily has a shopping app on the App Store and Google Play. Customers can catch flash deals before the timer runs out, browse by trend or category, read reviews, revisit items they viewed, refer friends through Share & Earn, contact support through tracked tickets, and check out in the app. The client's team can launch a seasonal collection or a timed sale and have it appear on the home screen right away.
