REIGN Toronto restaurant and bar website
Techcelerant built the REIGN Toronto restaurant website, with rich dining room photography, a jazz-age story, menus, private events and reservations.

REIGN is a restaurant and bar in downtown Toronto with a grand, jazz-age dining room. Techcelerant designed and built its website at reigntoronto.ca. The site uses deep green, burgundy and gold to match the room, leads with large photography of the food and interior, and gives guests clear paths to book a table or plan a private event.
The client
REIGN calls itself the city's dining room. It serves classic dishes, cocktails and wine in a space with green leather banquettes, framed landscapes and warm brass lighting. Guests come for business lunches, dinners out, celebrations and group events. The restaurant also hosts private parties, so event sales matter as much as nightly reservations.
The problem
A restaurant like REIGN sells an experience as much as a meal. Guests want to see the room, the plates and the mood before they book. A generic restaurant template with a menu PDF and a phone number would not show any of that.
The client's team also needed the site to do practical work: share menus, explain private dining options and route guests to reservations. Those tasks had to fit into a design that felt as considered as the restaurant.
What we built
We built a photo-led restaurant website with distinct sections for dining, drinks and events.
- A homepage that opens on a full-width photo of a steak, salad and red wine on a wooden table, followed by the green banquette dining room.
- The City's Dining Room section with a wide interior photo and a short introduction to the restaurant.
- A Jazz-Age Renaissance section with a photo of wine being poured by candlelight and a short story about the room's style.
- A Gather Your Peers block in burgundy for group dining and private events, with a button to send an inquiry.
- A Hold Court block in deep green that introduces the bar and lounge.
- Menu pages, plus photo panels of plated food, pastries and the bar.
- A reservation button in the header on every page, connected to the restaurant's booking system.
Design decisions
We took the palette straight from the room. Forest green, burgundy and a soft gold accent mirror the leather, wood and brass inside. Guests who visit the site and then the restaurant see the same atmosphere in both places.
Headings use a classic serif in small capitals with generous letter spacing. That type style suits a jazz-age setting and reads as formal without being stiff. Body text is a quiet serif set on cream panels for contrast.
The homepage uses a tight mosaic of photos and solid color blocks. Food shots sit next to interior shots and text panels, so visitors get a sense of the whole evening as they scroll. Each colored panel has one short headline and one button, which keeps the page from turning into a wall of text.
Private events got their own section with a distinct color. Event inquiries are worth more than single reservations, and a separate burgundy block makes them easy to find. Our guide to local SEO explains how a restaurant site like this can also show up for nearby diners.
The result
REIGN now has a website that looks and feels like its dining room. Guests can see the space and the food, read the story behind the room, check the menus and book a table from any page. Event planners have a clear place to start an inquiry for group dinners and private parties.
The client's team can update menus, swap photos and change featured sections for the seasons from the editor, so the site stays current with the restaurant.
