Thomas Medical website for women's health medical devices
Techcelerant built the Thomas Medical website: a medical device catalog with care categories, filters, detailed product pages and patient videos.
First published

Thomas Medical makes specialized medical devices for women's health. Techcelerant built its website, a catalog of devices with detailed descriptions that helps healthcare professionals find the specific tool they need. The site groups products by area of care, gives each device its own page, and adds videos and articles for clinicians and patients.
The client
Thomas Medical supplies devices used in gynecology, fertility care and related procedures. Its customers are clinicians, practice managers and purchasing teams who know what they are looking for and need to confirm the exact product before they order. Its products include instruments such as catheters and disposable uterine sounds, each with a specific use.
The problem
Medical device catalogs are hard to browse. Many products look alike in a photo, and the differences that matter are in the details: size, material, packaging and intended use. A clinician who cannot tell two catheters apart on a website will call a sales rep, or order from someone else.
Thomas Medical also wanted to speak to patients. People going through fertility treatment look for information, and the company had stories and videos to share. The site needed to keep those two audiences apart while letting them share one brand.
What we built
- A homepage that opens with "Thomas Medical for Women's Health," a photo of a clinician with a patient, and two clear buttons into the catalog.
- A "Best Sellers" row of the most ordered devices, shown as clean product shots on white.
- A "Categories" section with photo tiles for each area of care, including diagnostic care, infertility care and surgical care.
- Category pages such as "Diagnostic Care," with a sidebar of checkbox filters for product type and a grid of matching devices.
- Product pages, for example "Disposable Uterine Sound," with a large product image, a written description, tabs for additional information and a list of other products in the same line.
- A "Videos from Thomas Medical" band that links to product and education videos.
- An article area with patient stories such as "Road to Parenthood."
- A footer with product links, learning resources, quick contact details and a newsletter signup.
Design decisions
Purple is the brand color, and we used it with care. It fills the header bands on category pages, the buttons and the section icons. Everything else stays white, so the thin, pale devices in the product photos are easy to see. Medical devices photographed on a busy background lose their outline, and a clinician needs to see the shape.
Each product page follows the same order: name, photo, description, then additional information in tabs. A buyer comparing two devices can open both pages and find the same facts in the same place. The "Other Products" list below helps them move to a related size or model without going back to the catalog.
The filter sidebar uses plain checkboxes with product type names a clinician would recognize. On a category with many similar items, filtering is faster than scrolling.
We gave the category tiles photos of people instead of products. A tile showing a clinician or a patient tells a visitor which area of care they are entering before they read the label. The product photos take over once they are inside.
Patient content lives in its own sections, the video band and the article cards, with warmer photos and longer copy. That keeps the catalog pages short and focused for professional buyers.
The result
Thomas Medical now has a website where healthcare professionals can find a device by area of care, narrow the list with filters and confirm the details on a product page before they order. The best sellers row puts the most requested items one click from the homepage. Patients have a place to find videos and stories without wading through product listings. The client's team can add new devices and articles from the same system as the product line grows.
