Cuppa Tea ordering and rewards app
Techcelerant built the Cuppa Tea Android app for pickup and delivery orders, reward points, order history, referrals and quick Google sign-up.

Cuppa Tea serves iced and milk teas, bottled teas and baked snacks. Techcelerant designed and built its Android ordering app. The app lets customers order for pickup or delivery, collect reward points, reorder from their history, save favorite drinks, and invite friends, with a quick sign-up through their Google account.
The client
Cuppa Tea's menu pairs classic tea drinks with savory pastries and snacks. Its customers are regulars who know their usual order and come back often. Tea fans also like to try new drinks, and the client's team wanted to help them find the right one and reward them for coming back.
The problem
Orders came in over the counter and through third-party delivery apps, and none of those channels belonged to Cuppa Tea. It had no direct way to reward loyal customers, remember their favorite drinks, or reach them with offers. Regulars had to repeat the same order every time.
The client's team asked for:
- One app for both pickup and delivery.
- A points program customers can see and use.
- An easy way to repeat past orders and save favorites.
- Tools that help customers spread the word.
What we built
The app is organized around a five-tab bottom bar: Home, Order, Rewards, History and Account.
- The home screen opens with a photo of drinks and snacks, followed by two large tiles: "Order Now" and the customer's current reward points.
- Ordering supports pickup and delivery from the same menu, so customers choose how they want their order once and keep going.
- The rewards tab shows the points balance and how to redeem it.
- Order history lists past orders so a regular can reorder in a couple of taps.
- A wishlist lets customers save drinks they want to try.
- Quick sign-up with Google gets new customers into the app without creating a password.
- A "Share your Cuppa Tea moments" card lets customers post to social media from the app.
- An "Invite friends" card explains the referral program and links to the details.
The app also suggests drinks based on what a customer has ordered before, which works like a tea sommelier in their pocket.
Design decisions
Cuppa Tea's brand uses deep green and its name in bold white with Chinese characters below. We built the app around that green. The header and the two main tiles use it, so the most important actions match the brand and stand out.
The referral and sharing cards use a warm orange instead. That separates the promotional content from the core actions and gives the lower half of the screen its own feel.
We put the reward points on the home screen next to "Order Now" on purpose. Seeing their balance every time they open the app reminds regulars that each order counts toward something.
Each of the five bottom tabs has an icon and a label. Many customers use the app quickly while standing in line, and labels remove any guessing.
The result
Cuppa Tea now has its own ordering app on Google Play. Customers can order for pickup or delivery, earn and track points, reorder from their history, save drinks for later, and sign up with Google in seconds. The client's team has a direct channel to its regulars and a referral program that turns them into a source of new customers.
